Don't take virus outbreaks lightly. They can be deadly! The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is closely monitoring an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a novel (new) coronavirus(2019-s identified the new coronavirus, which has resulted in more than a thousand confirmed cases in China, including cases outside Wuhan City. Additional cases have been identified in a growing number of other international locations, including the United States, where 5 cases in travelers from Wuhan have been confirmed in four states (AZ, CA, IL, WA) as of January 26, 2020. There are ongoing investigations to learn more. Two newer human coronaviruses, MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV, have been known to frequently cause severe illness. For confirmed 2019-nCoV infections, reported illnesses have ranged from infected people with little to no symptoms to people being severely ill and dying. Symptoms can include: - Fever
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
CDC believes at this time that symptoms of 2019-nCoV may appear in as few as 2 days or as long as 14 after exposure.

Nutritional Protection Against Viruses
These viruses can rapidly kill individuals with compromised immune systems. Complete “chain of life” nutrition is essential to prevent immune compromise. Two nutrients of critical importance are Vitamin C and Vitamin D. Vitamin C inhibits viral replication in a dose related manner through promotion of the production of interferon (which interferes with viral replication). Vitamin C can also directly inactivate viruses according to many researchers. Vitamin D promotes the production of an anti-microbial peptide called cathelicidin which is particularly effective against flu viruses. The best preparation for coping with viral infections in m y opinion is to view the video “Living Proof” and to keep vitamin C handy for the early stages of any infection.
