Dr. Arthur Furst pioneered oral chemotherapy for cancer and lectured for the American Cancer Society for years. As his studies of cancer took him deeper into the understanding of cancer he came to the conclusion that cancer was primarily nutritional in origin. He felt that lack of specific nutrients played a role in whether an individual would get cancer or not. His research showed him that when animals are exposed to carcinogens when deficient in specific nutrients all the animals will get cancer, while none of the animals may develop cancer if specific nutrients are supplied.
