Catechins and Tea

The importance of the nutrients called catechins is increasingly being recognized in the medical literature. The following quote from a 2020 review suggests that foods or beverages containing catechins should be a component of the daily diet.

"Notably, the best source of catechins is unfermented green tea. Depending on the type and origin of green tea leaves, their antioxidant properties may be uneven [13–16]. Catechins also occur naturally in black tea, coffee, berries, grapes and wine. Due to the numerous health-promoting properties of catechins, it is recommended to include particularly products containing catechins in the daily diet [17]. Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant as well as chemopreventive activity are considered as the most important action of the catechin group [13–18]."

NeoLife has several products containing generous quantities of catechins including NeoLife Tea, Tre, and Flavonoid Complex.
