Bevlyn,
When an antioxidant "sacrifices" it's self to neutralize a free radical it then becomes a free radical because it loses an electron. That is why we need fat soluble and water soluble antioxidants. Example is vitamin E is an antioxidant and after it neutralizes a free radical it now is one itself, along comes vitamin C and it sacrifices it's self to re-generate the vitamin E. The vitamin C is now washed out of the body and therefore cannot not do any harm.
Hope this answers your question!

Hi Jim,
My daughter will not allow her 3 children to suck on All-C tablets because she is afraid the ascorbic acid will dissolve their tooth enamel. Her youngest was born with a deficiency of enamel. The children are ages 9 to 16.

Any truth to the acid in All-C dissolving enamel?

Jim,
Have a daughter who is frequently struggling with sinus congestion and so fragile to contracting colds.
She is off of milk, makes only sourdough bread, soaks grains, takes aloe and very little sugar-if any in her daily regime. Quite frustrating--also, has digestion problems--stomachaches.

Her history is one of loaded antibiotics ( she was on one for her entire pregnacy) as the doc. felt is would help her not get an uti--sooooo now that she is enlightened--still after several years of eating well, supplements etc--still has the sinus problems, and frequent colds--thought it might be a wheat allergy?

Hi Jim,
Are there any guidelines for using TRE ie with or without meals, youngsters under 2 years, using more than the 1 oz once or twice a day? You mentioned using it with BioTone to increase nitric oxide production. Do you use the BioTone at the same time as TRE or use the BioTone as suggested at bedtime on an empty stomach? I take 1 BetaGest and 2 enzymes with the BioTone to avoid reflux. Is this lessening the effectiveness of BioTone? Thanks for your help!

Nicole, I'm not sure why, but I received your question in my email. I don't think Jim responds to these questions. The gelatin Neolife uses may come from an animal source (most do) if that is the concern then you may have to find a "vegan" source. You can always call customer service and ask product questions!
